David Hicks\, PhD\, an experienced editor who has helped over 30 writers get published for the first time\, will show you how to focus your book on your main character and your main story line; how to fine-tune your writing style and your plot; and how to finish that book.\nWorkshop participants will spend Saturday generating some new writing\, learning how to revise most effectively\, and cleaning up their plot. On Sunday you will bring 4 X 6 cards of your scene summaries and learn how to “storyboard” their book and organize the subplots and secondary characters and themes. At the end of the workshop\, David will provide participants with tips on how to revise the book to completion based on their storyboard revisions; how to pitch their book to an agent or publisher; and how to make a plan for marketing their book.
