WHITE PLAINS has been chosen as the 2018 “Village Read” by Arapahoe Libraries, serving a county of over 600,000 residents (Greenwood Village, Centennial, Littleton, Southglenn). The Kick-Off is on August 2, followed by appearances throughout the month. Here’s the schedule:

Thursday, August 2, 7 p.m.: the Kick-Off–an Interview with Ron Rakowsky, the mayor of Greenwood Village. at the Koelbel Library in Centennial, CO, followed by a short reading and book signing.

Monday, August 13, 9:30 a.m.: the Village Read Talk (with library patrons) at the Curtis Center for the Arts. (For book club members only.)

Thursday, August 16, 7:00-8:30 p.m.: Writing Workshop (“Tell Your Story: How to Write an Autobiographical Narrative”), taught by David Hicks, Southglenn Library.

Thursday, August 23, 7 p.m. A panel of readers discuss WHITE PLAINS.  (David will be there to answer questions.)

Saturday, August 25, 2:00-3:30: Writing Workshop (“Tell Your Story: How to Write an Autobiographical Narrative”), taught by David Hicks, Koelbel Library.

Saturday, August 25, 6-8 p.m.: Finale Party! (Meet and Greet with David, get signed copies of White Plains), Curtis Center for the Arts.
